Overview

Enjoy a quintessentially British experience at the setting of one of the most popular period dramas in the world, followed by a Norwegian fjords and Baltics cruise on board the classically elegant Queen Victoria.

Fly to London where you’ll enjoy a two night hotel stay, time to explore the iconic sights such as Big Ben, the Tower of London and the Shard before you are transferred to the historic city of Winchester. Here you will experience an amazing evening of dining and entertainment in the magnificent surroundings of Highclere Castle. Your evening begins with a drinks and canape reception in the beautiful surroundings of the Saloon at the heart of the castle, complete with glazed high ceilings, a magnificent open fireplace and gothic style minstrel gallery, before sitting down to an exquisite dinner encased in the opulent surroundings of the Library.

The following day you’ll be transferred to the port of Southampton where you’ll embark Queen Victoria for your epic Northern Europe discovery. Cruising with Cunard encompasses a level of luxury not seen since the golden age of cruising, think old-fashioned glamour and refined experiences where every day is an unforgettable occasion. You’ll cruise first to Norway, visiting Olden and Alesund, decorated with soaring turrets and ornate buildings.

Norway then leads to Iceland, where you’ll find yourself amongst a beautiful landscape of volcanoes and glaciers, cruising through one of the most varied terrains on earth. You’ll cruise to Akureyri, Isafjordur and Reykjavik, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. A cosmopolitan capital but with a small town feel; vibrant and modern yet full of historic charm; Reykjavik is a city of contrasts. Take time to explore the museums and art, stroll amongst the quirky and colourful buildings, take a dip in the steaming geothermal pools and dine in the delicious restaurants before you sail back to Southampton via Stornoway.

Highlights of the second leg of your cruise include Copenhagen; home to soaring spires and towering structures that pierce the coastal skyline, Sweden and St Petersburg; a treasure trove of art and culture where you’ll have an overnight stay on board the ship.
