March to May
With cooler temperatures averaging between 20–30°C and generally drier days, spring is one of the best times to visit Vietnam. June to August
Summer in Vietnam is vibrant and atmospheric. While you can expect warm temperatures and glorious sunshine, it is also pre-monsoon season, meaning heavy but brief showers are common and leave the landscapes looking lush and revived. You’ll also find fewer crowds at highlights such as the Củ Chi Tunnels, alongside a lively calendar of local festivals to enjoy.
September to November
Despite a drop in temperatures and a slight increase in showers, the weather remains pleasant, with far less humidity. The Mid-Autumn Festival takes place on the full moon between September and October, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy lively gatherings, vibrant dragon and lion dances, and other spirited celebrations.
December to February
Winter brings dry, pleasant weather, though mornings and evenings can be cooler. With lower humidity, it’s the perfect time to explore temples and iconic attractions. The biggest festival is Tết (Lunar New Year), offering colourful celebrations and dance performances, though many shops, restaurants, and museums close for the holiday. Winter is also ideal for a scenic river cruise along the Mekong Delta.
